I had a 2001 Town Car last week with a bucking complaint intermittently around 40 mph. I could duplicate the symtom but couldn’t pin down a cylinder. It felt like a coil breaking down but which one? Mode 06 data showed a miss history in cyl. 4 (no MIL). I put a test coil on it and drove it problem gone. A new ciol fixed it. A lot of EEC 5 Fords will shut off the injector in the misfiring cylinder to protect the cat. ,and you don’t get the cat damageing misfire flashing MIL that you do on other makes. Start at TID 50 TID 51 #1 cyl TID 52 #2 cyl etc. Sorry if I mixed up TID @ CID Dave
